2025 – Doing a little good, together

Doing a little good, together

It can sometimes feel like positivity is in short supply in the headlines. So every now and then, we think it’s worth sharing something a little more uplifting.

At CSL, supporting both local and national charities has always been really important to us. We value the immediate, visible impact of local organisations just as much as the broader research, advocacy and networks of care of national ones. In fact, last year, our team and our clients collectively helped us donate over £50,000 to charitable causes – and we’re super proud that more than half of that was donated on behalf of our staff, supporting the causes closest to their hearts.

From bake sales and lunch donations to food banks, to Christmas dinners for women and children in a local refuge – these small gestures have added up to a real impact within our communities.

One of the highlights of 2025 was our fifth annual summer walking challenge. The team were tasked with ‘walking around the world with a llama’ (don’t ask!), logging daily steps, virtually travelling through different countries, and completing photo challenges to add to their CSL passports.  Photo evidence included 👉 There was also no shortage of creativity when it came to team names, with favourites including Alpaca My Bags, Spit Happens, and The Seoul Searchers – complete with their llama mascot, Winamp. Excellent work!

It all led to plenty of genuinely funny moments, and we all saw the value in getting some fresh air, exercise, and spending time together away from our desks.

But we also saw the power of our wider community through our annual client survey. For every client who took the time to share their feedback, we made a donation to Alzheimer’s Research. And we’re very grateful to everyone who took part. Not only does your feedback help improve our services, but your time also helped raise funds for a really important cause.

At its heart, this is really just about doing a little good where we can. It’s something our team simply gets on with – enthusiastically and without much fuss. But every now and then, it feels right to pause, say a big thank you, and remind ourselves of the positive things happening around us.
