Matt has worked in the healthcare business intelligence industry for over 30 years, beginning his career in quantitative market research. He joined the CSL board in 2007 and became Managing Director in 2018.

With a background in economics, Matt has a particular interest in the statistical analysis of data and in finding practical ways for analytics to support effective decision‑making. His vision for the company is to establish CSL as a “household name” within the healthcare business intelligence community, and to demonstrate along the way that this can be achieved sustainably while sharing the benefits of success with the team and the wider community.

A semi‑professional musician since his teenage years, Matt also plays at functions around the South East of England. In recent years he has been restoring his 300‑year‑old family home, gaining hands‑on experience in traditional trades such as lime plastering along the way.
