Matthew has been working in the healthcare business intelligence industry for over 20 years, starting out in quantitative market research. He has been on the board of CSL since 2007 and became Managing Director in 2018.

With a background in economics, Matthew has a particular interest in the statistical analysis of data, behavioural economics and finding practical applications for artificial intelligence in analytics. He believes in getting involved with the industry, and chairs the BHBIA’s Ethics and Compliance Committee as well as a forum for senior pharmaceutical analytics executives.

As a semi-pro musician since his teenage years, Matthew plays most Saturday nights at functions around the South East of England. He has spent the past five years restoring his 300-year-old family home, learning traditional trades such as lime plastering along the way.
